Adirondack Abaculus

This 2014 acrylic painting and mixed media collage by Ellie Paisley. The painting begun during a trip to the Adirondack Mountains. In a cabin nestled deep in the Adirondack woods between the trees that rippled the landscape and basked in the morning sunlight. The mountains hugged a deep blue lake in a tranquil embrace and it seemed as though every bird, insect every living creature was at peace. Such a picturesque scene was presented in the glow of the sunlight, it's beauty could only be rivaled by it's radiance in the moonlight. Under a chandler of stars clouds swept, swirling through the heavens surveying each seashell as an abaculus in an eco-empire.
